Kristi Shaw, MS, LCMHC
Hello! I’m Kristi Shaw and I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor/therapist. I am passionate in supporting the treatment of mental health conditions and specialize in women’s issues including postpartum depression and anxiety, eating disorders and body image, infertility, perfectionism, grief and loss, spirituality, faith crisis and transitions and trauma (EMDR).
I love mental health but hate the stigma around it. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, it has helped me multiple times throughout my life! I’m a recovering perfectionist & my passion is with women’s issues. Society puts an extreme amount of pressure on women in so many ways and I love helping women discover their authentic self so they can live the life they want, rather than what has been prescribed for them by society- with so many unrealistic expectations. I love helping my clients navigate and work through their emotional pain and life challenges. I know that life is not easy and I never want anyone to be alone in their struggles.
I completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Consumer and Human Development. I have worked extensively with families and individuals in different capacities including a newborn intensive care therapist (specializing in bereavement/grief/loss), program director of a young adult transitional program, volunteer in a Romanian orphanage, and a therapist in private practice. These opportunities, as well as my own life experiences have taught me about compassion, empathy, strength, resilience, and healing in which I utilize in my work with my clients. I have a passion for helping people through their most difficult circumstances. The resilience that I see in humans from all different cultures and walks of life inspires me.
I am married and have four children who keep me active. I have a deep love of traveling and exploring different cultures & places. I love reading, listening to podcasts, skiing, and being outdoors.
Sheree Davidson, MSW, LCSW
Welcome! I’m Sheree Davidson and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My specialties include addictions of all types (drug/alcohol, food, self harm, etc), trauma, depression, suicidal ideations, eating disorders, anxiety, loss and grief.
I received my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Utah and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Over the years, I have worked in therapeutic day care centers designed for children with behavioral issues, was an intern with Primary Children’s Residential, a therapist for an adolescent residential program, provided therapy for adults struggling with addictions, was a group leader for the Children’s Justice Center in Provo for adolescent girls who had suffered from abuse, and as a crisis therapist at St. George Medical Center. My extensive background has helped me develop empathy and relate to a wide variety of people and daily challenges they face.
Kohanna Law, CSWA
Hi! I’m Kohanna Law. My life has been a journey of self-discovery. I have seen that when people discover who they are, it empowers them! I was born on one of the Visayan Islands in the Philippines and grew up as a city girl in Chicago, Illinois. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from BYU Hawaii and completed my bachelor’s practicum in Chicago, helping people get access to quality care. I also interned as an investigator for elderly abuse cases.
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from UIC in Chicago. I completed my master’s practicum working with adolescents who suffered from anxiety and depression, providing them with clinical support through one-on-one therapy sessions. My practicum experiences were so impactful! They opened my eyes and helped me discover my professional journey.
Soon after moving to Utah, I worked as a mentor with adolescent boys at a residential treatment center. My clinical skills were challenged, strengthened, and developed in ways they wouldn’t have been without this experience. I later became a mentor for a private practice working with adolescents and young adults. This too was an integral part of my clinical growth.
I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to help others discover their innate intuition and abilities, as well as be empowered to step into who they are.
Susan Fakharzadeh, Intern
Hi! My name is Susan and I am in the last semester of my Master’s Degree of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I understand just how hard life can be and I want to be there for my clients as a safe space with understanding, acceptance and free from judgement. I work collaboratively with clients to help them access their innate strength, resilience, and capacity for growth as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe healing is most effective when it honors the whole person, and I take a holistic approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit. As a certified trauma-informed yoga instructor, I often encourage greater awareness of the body as a pathway to regulation, balance, and self-connection. I want you to feel strength in understanding yourself. I love helping individuals develop insight, practical coping skills, and confidence while creating meaningful and sustainable change.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I studied English and Philosophy. Prior to entering the counseling field, I spent over 20 years working in sustainability, community affairs, and corporate executive leadership. This background shapes my thoughtful, systems-oriented approach and ultimately led me to pursue my passion for helping others thrive.
My husband and I recently relocated from Denver, Colorado, and we are grateful to call St. George home. I believe our lived experiences are powerful teachers, and I look forward to working alongside you as we explore your personal narrative and path forward.
